SOR007 is a sterile nanoparticulate paclitaxel formulation administered topically for the treatment of various cancers. It is developed using supercritical precipitation (SCP) technology, which creates submicron particles that can penetrate the skin with minimal systemic absorption. The drug works through paclitaxel's cytotoxic mechanism of action, providing a continuous dose to diseased skin over time with limited systemic exposure. SOR007 has shown promising results in clinical trials for treating cutaneous metastases of breast cancer, with better response rates observed with longer treatment duration (56 days vs 28 days).
