Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy of sorafenib and zoledronic acid used for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma. Sorafenib is a multiple kinase inhibitor that inhibits the Raf/MEK/ERK signaling pathway to decrease tumor growth and angiogenesis, while zoledronic acid is a bisphosphonate that depletes macrophages. The combination has shown synergistic effects in inhibiting tumor progression, angiogenesis, and metastasis compared to sorafenib alone.
