Overview
**Soralex** is an Ecuadorian multi-ingredient topical exfoliating cream developed by Laboratory José F. Quiróz Pérez and La Salud Pharmacy for mild-to-moderate psoriasis. The fixed topical formulation contains salicylic acid, sublimated sulfur, potassium aluminum sulfate, bay essential oil, animal lard, and petroleum jelly. Its intended activity combines salicylic-acid keratolysis to reduce adherent scale, antimicrobial effects attributed to sulfur, astringent and skin-healing effects attributed to potassium aluminum sulfate, and emollient barrier support from the lipid-based vehicle. A reported randomized controlled clinical study in Ecuador evaluated twice-daily use for 10 days in patients with psoriasis and described reductions in erythema, infiltration, desquamation, pruritus, PASI, and affected body-surface area.
