Soriacare (IS-217) is a peptide-based new chemical entity (NCE) developed by Issar Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of psoriasis. It is a topical formulation designed to exert anti-angiogenic and anti-inflammatory effects through the modulation of the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR) and inflammatory pathways, including p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (p38 MAPK) and myeloperoxidase (MPO). As a peptide-based therapeutic, it represents part of Issar Pharmaceuticals' focus on peptide drug discovery for unmet medical needs. The drug is currently in clinical development in India and has been submitted for clinical evaluation with the US FDA.
