Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SOT102 + nab-paclitaxel + gemcitabine is a research-stage triple drug combination regimen. SOT102 is an investigational antibody-drug conjugate targeting Claudin18.2, under development for solid tumors, notably pancreatic cancer. Nab-paclitaxel (brand: Abraxane) is an albumin-bound formulation of paclitaxel that enables solvent-free intravenous delivery and improved tumor targeting. Gemcitabine (brand: Gemzar) is a nucleoside analog that inhibits DNA synthesis, widely used in pancreatic and other solid tumors. The combination is designed as an antineoplastic therapy, leveraging the cytotoxic actions of chemotherapy (nab-paclitaxel and gemcitabine) with the targeted effect of SOT102 to improve efficacy in pancreatic (and potentially other) cancers. Nab-paclitaxel + gemcitabine is approved for metastatic pancreatic cancer and has demonstrated improved survival compared to gemcitabine alone[2][3][4]. SOT102 is still in clinical development.
