Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SOT201 is a next-generation immunocytokine developed for the treatment of solid tumors. It is a recombinant fusion protein that combines a proprietary interleukin-15 (IL-15) superagonist with an anti-PD-1 antibody. This design enables targeted delivery and activation of IL-15 signaling specifically to PD-1-expressing tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs), particularly CD8+ T cells within the tumor microenvironment. By simultaneously blocking PD-1-mediated inhibitory signaling and stimulating T cell proliferation and cytotoxicity via IL-15, SOT201 aims to reinvigorate exhausted T cells and enhance anti-tumor immune responses. The drug is being developed by SOTIO Biotech and entered Phase 1 clinical trials in May 2024 for patients with advanced unresectable or metastatic solid tumors[2][3][4][5][7].
