Drug intelligence / Profile preview
South Africa anti-snake antivenom is a polyvalent antivenom developed by Inosan Biopharma for the treatment of snake envenomation in South Africa. It is composed of equine-derived F(ab')2 immunoglobulin fragments, which are produced by immunizing horses with the venoms of medically significant snake species native to the region. These antibody fragments are designed to bind to and neutralize circulating venom toxins, thereby preventing or mitigating systemic toxicity and tissue damage. The product is currently in Phase 1 clinical development.
