Sovigripp

Sovigripp is a subunit, adjuvanted, inactivated trivalent influenza vaccine (TIV) developed and manufactured by NPO Microgen. It is designed for the active immunization against seasonal influenza caused by influenza A (H1N1 and H3N2) and influenza B viruses. A key characteristic of Sovigripp is the use of **Sovidon** (poly-N-vinylpyrrolidone) as an adjuvant, which is intended to enhance the magnitude and duration of the immune response. This adjuvant system allows for a reduced antigen content (typically 5 μg of hemagglutinin per A strain) compared to standard non-adjuvanted vaccines. Sovigripp is a staple of the Russian National Immunization Program and has been studied for its ability to induce robust humoral and T-cell responses in various populations, including high-risk groups such as patients with end-stage renal disease on hemodialysis.
