SOX9 siRNA is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) designed to target and silence the expression of the SRY-box transcription factor 9 (SOX9) gene. SOX9 is a critical transcription factor involved in embryogenesis, sex determination, and chondrogenesis, but its overexpression is associated with tumor progression, metastasis, and drug resistance in various malignancies, including triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), colorectal cancer, and lung adenocarcinoma. By utilizing RNA interference (RNAi) to knock down SOX9 expression, SOX9 siRNA inhibits cancer cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), while promoting apoptosis. It is widely utilized as a research-use-only (RUO) reagent in preclinical studies to investigate the therapeutic potential of targeting the SOX9 pathway.
