Overview
**SP0256** is Sanofi's investigational bivalent messenger RNA vaccine program for prevention of lower respiratory tract disease caused by respiratory syncytial virus and human metapneumovirus in older adults. The vaccine uses lipid nanoparticle-encapsulated mRNA and is administered by intramuscular injection to induce protective immune responses against both respiratory pathogens. The program has evaluated RSV-only and RSV+hMPV formulations, with the bivalent RSV+hMPV candidate advancing in Phase 2 clinical development.
