Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SP0342 is an adjuvanted subunit vaccine candidate being developed by Sanofi in collaboration with Amgen for the prevention of shingles (herpes zoster). It is designed to elicit a robust immune response against the varicella-zoster virus (VZV) by utilizing a specific viral protein (subunit) combined with an adjuvant to enhance immunogenicity. The vaccine is currently in Phase 1 clinical development, aiming to provide a protective alternative to existing shingles vaccines by inducing high levels of antigen-specific antibodies and T-cell responses.
