Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SP0901 ADC is a discovery-stage antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by Protheragen for the treatment of cancer. The therapeutic is designed to target both Carbonic Anhydrase IX (CAIX) and Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR), two antigens frequently overexpressed in various solid tumors. By combining the specificity of monoclonal antibodies with the potency of a cytotoxic payload, SP0901 ADC aims to selectively eliminate tumor cells while sparing healthy tissue. CAIX is particularly relevant in hypoxic tumor environments, while EGFR is a well-known driver of cell proliferation and survival.
