Overview

Spartalizumab + nazartinib is an experimental combination therapy consisting of two distinct investigational oncology agents. Spartalizumab is a monoclonal antibody targeting the programmed death-1 (PD-1) receptor, acting as a checkpoint inhibitor to enhance anti-tumor immune responses. Nazartinib is a third-generation, irreversible, and mutant-selective epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI), designed to target EGFR mutations, including resistance-conferring T790M mutations, in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Both are being developed primarily for the treatment of advanced or metastatic EGFR-mutant NSCLC, and their combination represents a rational approach to simultaneously inhibit oncogenic signaling and augment immune-mediated tumor cell killing. Both agents are developed by Novartis and may be under investigation for combination therapy but public trial evidence for this exact combination is limited.
