Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**SPC 2004** is a Shin Poong Pharmaceutical investigational dual-component antihypertensive treatment evaluated as an active comparator in the SPC1001 development program for **essential hypertension**. In the Phase 2b SPC1001 study, it was one of the dual-component regimens used to assess the contribution of individual agents within the candesartan, amlodipine, and indapamide triple-combination program. Publicly available trial materials identify SPC 2004 as a dual-component comparator but do not clearly assign its precise two-active composition; it should therefore not be conflated with the unrelated Santaris antisense oncology compound also reported historically as SPC-2004.
