SPEAACT-2 is a preclinical-stage therapeutic candidate developed by Sunstate Biosciences for the treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer and gastric cancer. The drug consists of a small molecule RNA polymerase inhibitor encapsulated within a protein shell using the company's proprietary Single Protein Encapsulation (SPE) technology. This platform is designed to improve the delivery and therapeutic index of the small molecule payload. By targeting RNA polymerase, SPEAACT-2 inhibits the transcription of genetic information into RNA, thereby disrupting essential cellular processes in cancer cells and promoting tumor regression.
