Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SPH-103 is an orally administered drug candidate being developed by Sapphire Therapeutics for the treatment of celiac disease. It is designed to target a novel, undisclosed receptor that modulates the NFkB and IL-22 pathways, which are critical regulators of intestinal inflammation and mucosal homeostasis. Unlike many current therapeutic approaches for autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, SPH-103 aims to provide a non-immunosuppressive treatment option. As of early 2024, the program is in the lead identification stage of preclinical development.
