Overview

SPI-1620 + docetaxel is an investigational combination therapy comprised of **SPI-1620**, a selective endothelin B receptor agonist peptide (also known as sovateltide), and **docetaxel**, a well-established chemotherapy agent. SPI-1620 selectively and transiently increases tumor blood flow, primarily by stimulating endothelial B receptors on endothelial cells within tumor vasculature, enhancing delivery of chemotherapeutic agents such as docetaxel to tumor tissue while sparing healthy tissue[1][5][7]. Docetaxel is a cytotoxic small molecule that disrupts microtubule function, inhibiting cancer cell division. The combination aims to boost docetaxel's antitumor efficacy via improved intratumoral perfusion[1][6]. Main indications under investigation are solid tumors.
