Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**SpikoGen** is an adjuvanted recombinant protein-subunit vaccine for prevention of COVID-19. It contains a recombinant prefusion-stabilized extracellular-domain trimer of the SARS-CoV-2 spike glycoprotein, produced in insect cells, formulated with the Advax-CpG55.2 adjuvant system. Vaccination induces spike-directed neutralizing antibodies and cellular immune responses intended to prevent SARS-CoV-2 infection and severe COVID-19. The product was developed by Vaxine in collaboration with CinnaGen, underwent pivotal Phase 3 evaluation, and has received Iranian authorization for COVID-19 prevention, including use in children aged 5 years and older.
