Overview

**SPL028** is a proprietary deuterated analog of N,N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT), a small molecule psychedelic designed to extend the duration of psychedelic effects compared to native DMT while maintaining a similar safety and pharmacological profile. Developed initially by Small Pharma and now advanced by Cybin, it acts primarily as an agonist at serotonin receptors including 5-HT2A, 5-HT1A, and 5-HT2C, producing robust, short-duration psychedelic experiences (55-120 minutes) suitable for mental health treatments. It has shown favorable safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics in Phase 1 studies via intravenous (IV) and intramuscular (IM) routes, supporting scalable, patient-friendly administration for conditions like generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).[1][2][3][7]
