Sporax

Sporax is an antibiotic brand manufactured and distributed by Rax Health Care, containing the active ingredient cephalexin. As a first-generation cephalosporin, it functions by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis through the binding and inactivation of penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), which are essential for the cross-linking of peptidoglycan layers. This disruption leads to bacterial cell lysis and death. Sporax is indicated for the treatment of various susceptible bacterial infections, including those affecting the respiratory tract, middle ear (otitis media), skin and soft tissues, bones, and the urinary tract. It is available in multiple formulations, including oral capsules and a dry syrup (which is reconstituted into an oral suspension), as well as liquid drops for oral or topical use depending on the specific product form.
