Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SporeVax-C. perfringens is a mucosal vaccine candidate developed by SporeGen for the prevention of Clostridium perfringens infection. The vaccine platform utilizes Bacillus subtilis spores as a delivery vehicle to present specific C. perfringens antigens to the mucosal immune system. This spore-based approach is designed to induce both local mucosal and systemic immunity, providing protection against the pathogen. The use of spores offers advantages in terms of stability and natural adjuvant properties, potentially eliminating the need for cold-chain storage. The project is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
