SPRX002 is a monovalent, soluble protein that acts as a CD123-specific adapter molecule. It is used in combination with universal antigen receptor complex T cells (ARC-T cells) as part of the ARC-SparX platform for the treatment of relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and high-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). SPRX002 binds to CD123-expressing tumor cells and serves as a bridge between these target cells and ARC-T cells, which recognize SPRX002 through an anti-tag domain. This enables targeted cytotoxicity against CD123+ cancer cells. The dose of SPRX002 can be adjusted to modulate the activity and safety profile of ARC-T cell therapy, potentially reducing toxicity. The drug is currently being evaluated in phase 1 clinical trials for AML and high-risk MDS[1][2][3][4][5][7].
