Overview

SPT (Sapreme Proprietary Technology) is a preclinical-stage endosomal escape enhancer platform developed by Sapreme. It consists of glycosylated triterpenoids designed to facilitate the intracellular and cytoplasmic delivery of large therapeutic molecules, such as antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs) and small interfering RNAs (siRNAs). By promoting the escape of these molecules from endosomes into the cytosol, SPT enables effective delivery to extrahepatic tissues, including the brain, heart, muscle, and other organs. This technology is being applied across various therapeutic areas, including neuromuscular and cardiometabolic diseases, to overcome the delivery barriers associated with macromolecular drugs.
