Overview

SPX-301 is a discovery-stage multi-specific antibody candidate developed by SparX Biotech. It is part of a series of next-generation biologics (SPX-301 through SPX-306) designed using the company's proprietary SAILING platform, which integrates bioinformatics and high-throughput screening to optimize multi-functional antibody discovery. SPX-301 is characterized as a bispecific T-cell engager (BiTE) targeting Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2) and the CD3 receptor on T cells. This mechanism is intended to facilitate the targeted lysis of Claudin 18.2-positive tumor cells, such as those found in gastric, esophageal, and pancreatic cancers, by recruiting and activating cytotoxic T lymphocytes. The program is currently in the discovery phase, leveraging SparX's expertise in multi-specific antibody engineering to address unmet needs in oncology.
