Overview

SPX-602 is a bispecific antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by SparX Biopharmaceutical, utilizing their proprietary Nab2 dual-payload platform. It is designed to simultaneously target Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) and Programmed Death-Ligand 1 (PD-L1), combining anti-angiogenic and immune checkpoint inhibition strategies. The conjugate delivers two distinct cytotoxic payloads: a Topoisomerase 1 (TOP1) inhibitor and Monomethyl Auristatin E (MMAE), which work synergistically to induce tumor cell death via DNA damage and microtubule disruption. This dual-payload approach is intended to enhance efficacy and overcome resistance in heterogeneous tumors. SPX-602 is currently in IND-enabling studies for the treatment of various cancers.
