Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SPYVLP04 is a preclinical virus-like particle (VLP) vaccine candidate being developed by SpyBiotech for the prevention of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection. The vaccine is built using SpyBiotech's proprietary protein "superglue" technology (SpyTag/SpyCatcher), which allows for the stable and high-density display of EBV antigens on a VLP platform. This presentation is intended to trigger a potent immune response, potentially addressing the unmet need for a vaccine against EBV, a virus linked to infectious mononucleosis, multiple sclerosis, and several types of cancer.
