Overview
SQ-23082 is an ophthalmic small molecule drug candidate developed by Shenyang Xingqi Pharmaceutical as a Class 2.1 improved new chemical drug in the form of eye drops. It is being developed for the treatment of ocular itching associated with allergic conjunctivitis. In September 2026, the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) of China approved the clinical trial application (IND) for SQ-23082 eye drops. Shenyang Xingqi Pharmaceutical has completed the pharmaceutical, non-clinical pharmacology, and toxicology studies for the candidate, which demonstrated favorable safety and clinical development potential. The active ingredient and specific biological target of SQ-23082 remain undisclosed.
