SQZ APC is an **autologous antigen-presenting cell therapy platform** developed by SQZ Biotechnologies that uses the company's Cell Squeeze technology to load patient-derived peripheral blood mononuclear cells, particularly B-cell enriched APC populations, with disease-relevant antigens. The engineered cells are designed to present antigen on MHC class I molecules and activate endogenous **CD8-positive T-cell** responses against tumors or infectious targets. In oncology, the platform served as the basis for product candidates such as SQZ-PBMC-HPV for HPV16-positive cancers including cervical, anal, and head and neck malignancies. The program was also part of a collaboration with Roche and was later extended into next-generation immune cell platforms such as eAPC and AAC.
