Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**SQZ-PBMC-HPV + nivolumab + ipilimumab** is a combination regimen under clinical investigation for advanced or metastatic HPV16-positive cancers. It consists of SQZ-PBMC-HPV, an autologous cell therapy vaccine using the Cell Squeeze platform to load peripheral blood mononuclear cells with HPV16 E6 and E7 oncoproteins, priming antigen-specific CD8+ T cells and engineered APC-mediated immune activation. This is combined with two immune checkpoint inhibitors: **nivolumab** (a monoclonal antibody targeting programmed cell death protein 1/PD-1) and **ipilimumab** (a monoclonal antibody targeting cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4/CTLA-4). The combination aims to enhance tumor antigen presentation and simultaneously block key immune inhibitory pathways to maximize anti-tumor CD8+ T cell response in patients often refractory to immune checkpoint inhibition[1][3][5][7].
