Overview

SR-1891 is an ultrapotent, long-acting capsid assembly modulator (CAM) being developed for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. It exhibits sub-nanomolar in vitro anti-HBV activity and is designed for subcutaneous administration. In preclinical mouse models of chronic hepatitis B, a single subcutaneous dose of SR-1891 demonstrated sustained, multi-log reductions in serum HBV DNA and RNA, outperforming daily oral entecavir for at least 7 weeks without causing liver injury or ALT elevations.
