Overview

SRB123 is a first-in-class antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) that targets the C-C motif chemokine receptor 9 (CCR9), a tumor-associated antigen highly expressed in several solid tumors, including pancreatic, ovarian, and lung cancers. The therapeutic combines SunRock Biopharma’s proprietary SRB1 antibody, notable for its affinity and tumor cell internalization, with Escugen’s EZWi-Fit linker-payload technology, which enables highly stable conjugation and selective release of a DNA topoisomerase I inhibitor in tumor cells. The ADC format aims to increase anti-tumor efficacy and selectivity by targeting aggressive, chemotherapy-resistant tumors with high CCR9 expression. SRB123 is in preclinical development, and there is no orphan designation or approved indication at this time[1][2][3][5][6][7].
