Overview

Src RNAi refers to RNA interference-based molecules, such as small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) or short hairpin RNAs (shRNAs), that specifically target and silence the expression of the Src gene (Proto-oncogene tyrosine-protein kinase Src). Src is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that plays a critical role in regulating cellular processes including proliferation, differentiation, and motility. In oncology research, Src RNAi is used to study the signaling pathways involved in tumor invasion and metastasis. Research in bladder cancer has indicated that Src may act as a metastasis suppressor in certain urothelial contexts, where its knockdown via RNAi leads to increased RhoA and RhoC activity and enhanced cell migration.
