Overview

SRF617 + gemcitabine + albumin-bound paclitaxel is an investigational combination therapy for cancer, particularly explored in advanced solid tumors such as pancreatic cancer. **SRF617** is a fully human monoclonal antibody targeting CD39 (also known as ENTPD1), an ectonucleotidase upregulated in the tumor microenvironment, where it degrades extracellular ATP and fosters immunosuppression; by inhibiting CD39, SRF617 increases proinflammatory signaling and facilitates anti-tumor immune responses. **Gemcitabine** is a nucleoside analog chemotherapeutic that inhibits DNA synthesis, leading to cell death, and is a backbone agent for pancreatic cancer. **Albumin-bound paclitaxel (nab-paclitaxel, Abraxane)** is a nanoparticle formulation of paclitaxel (a microtubule inhibitor), bound to albumin to increase tumor delivery and reduce solvent-related toxicity. The combination aims to attack tumors both directly through cytotoxic chemotherapy and indirectly by reprogramming the tumor microenvironment to be less immunosuppressive and more susceptible to immune attack[1][3][2][4][6].
