Overview

SRRM2-specific CAR T cell therapy is an investigational cell therapy being developed by Eximmium for the treatment of various solid tumors. The therapy utilizes engineered chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells designed to target Serine/arginine repetitive matrix protein 2 (SRRM2). While SRRM2 is traditionally a nuclear speckle protein involved in RNA splicing, it becomes externalized and exposed on the plasma membrane of certain cancer cells, including ovarian, pancreatic, and breast carcinomas. By targeting this tumor-specific surface expression, the CAR T cells mediate antigen-specific cytotoxicity against malignant cells while sparing normal cells where SRRM2 remains sequestered intracellularly. The program is currently in preclinical development and utilizes the company's EximAB™ platform, which focuses on targeting intracellular proteins that become exposed on the cancer cell surface.
