SRT-007

SRT-007 is a selective, small-molecule activator of **Sirtuin 1 (SIRT1)** currently under development by **Sirtuo** for the treatment of chronic respiratory conditions, including idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). As a SIRT1-activating compound (STAC), SRT-007 allosterically enhances the activity of SIRT1, a NAD+-dependent deacetylase that regulates key pathways involved in cellular senescence, oxidative stress, and inflammation. By targeting SIRT1 in the lungs via inhaled administration, SRT-007 aims to mitigate alveolar epithelial cell dysfunction and reduce the pro-inflammatory and pro-fibrotic environment characteristic of these diseases. The drug is designed to provide localized therapeutic effects while minimizing systemic exposure and potential off-target effects.
