Overview

SRT-017 is an alpha-emitting radioligand therapy consisting of the alpha-emitting radionuclide actinium-225 ([225Ac]) conjugated to the prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-targeting ligand PSMA-0057. Developed by Chengdu Xingrui Jingxuan Biotechnology (a subsidiary of Fosun Pharma) in collaboration with Suzhou Ruihe Pharmaceutical Technology, SRT-017 is designed to selectively bind to PSMA-expressing prostate cancer cells. Upon binding, the high-energy, short-range alpha particles emitted by actinium-225 induce double-stranded DNA breaks, leading to tumor cell death while minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissues. SRT-017 is being evaluated in clinical trials for the treatment of patients with PSMA-positive metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC).
