Overview

SSFF-02 is a novel small molecule pan-chemokine receptor (pan-CCR) inhibitor developed through a collaboration between the University of Texas at El Paso and Micar21. Identified via virtual screening of a library of 4 million compounds, SSFF-02 exhibits potent inhibitory activity against C-C chemokine receptor type 1 (CCR1), C-C chemokine receptor type 3 (CCR3), and C-C chemokine receptor type 5 (CCR5). In preclinical models of breast cancer, the compound has demonstrated the ability to inhibit tumor growth, modulate the tumor microenvironment, and significantly reduce metastasis to the lungs, liver, and ribs. It is currently being investigated as a potential therapeutic agent for metastatic breast cancer and other inflammatory cancers.
