SSGJ-613

SSGJ-613 is a recombinant anti-interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) humanized monoclonal antibody developed by Sunshine Guojian Pharmaceutical. It acts as an IL-1β antagonist, specifically binding to and blocking the activity of IL-1β, a key cytokine involved in inflammatory signaling pathways. By inhibiting IL-1β-mediated signal transduction, SSGJ-613 reduces inflammation and has shown rapid pain relief comparable to steroids in patients with gout. The drug is being investigated for several indications including acute gouty arthritis (with Phase II/III trials ongoing), juvenile idiopathic arthritis (Phase I/II), periodic fever syndromes, and prevention of chemotherapeutic toxic effects in colorectal cancer patients[1][3][6][8]. Its primary route of administration is subcutaneous injection.
