Overview

SSGJ-705 is a recombinant bispecific antibody that targets both HER2 and PD-1. By simultaneously binding to HER2 on tumor cells and PD-1 on T cells, it inhibits the downstream signaling pathways of both targets and bridges PD-1-expressing T cells to HER2-expressing tumor cells. This dual targeting may inhibit proliferation of HER2-overexpressing cancer cells by promoting immune-mediated cytotoxicity, including antibody-dependent cell cytotoxicity (ADCC), and stimulating T lymphocyte activity. SSGJ-705 is being developed primarily for the treatment of advanced or metastatic solid tumors that express HER2, with ongoing Phase I clinical trials in China. The drug was originally developed by Sunshine Guojian Pharmaceutical (a subsidiary of 3SBio) and is classified as an antineoplastic immunotherapy agent[1][2][3][8].
