Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SSGJ-718 is a first-in-class recombinant bispecific monoclonal antibody designed to simultaneously target and neutralize tumor necrosis factor-like ligand 1A (TL1A) and interleukin-23 subunit p19 (IL-23p19). Developed by Sunshine Guojian Pharmaceutical, a subsidiary of 3SBio, the therapeutic candidate is designed to address immune-mediated inflammatory diseases, specifically inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. By concurrently blocking the TL1A/DR3 and IL-23/Th17 signaling pathways, SSGJ-718 aims to provide a synergistic therapeutic effect that controls both the initiation and maintenance of intestinal inflammation, as well as potentially mitigating tissue fibrosis. The drug received Investigational New Drug (IND) approval from China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in October 2026 to initiate clinical trials.
