Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SSKI-101 is an investigational anti-SARS-CoV-2 immunoglobulin Y (IgY) nasal and oral spray being developed by SKYDD Biotechnology for the prevention of COVID-19. As a passive immunization agent, it consists of avian-derived antibodies typically harvested from the egg yolks of immunized hens. The product is designed to provide local mucosal protection by neutralizing the SARS-CoV-2 virus, specifically targeting the spike protein to prevent viral entry into host cells. SSKI-101 is administered four times daily and is currently being evaluated in Phase 2/3 clinical trials to assess its safety, tolerability, and efficacy in preventing COVID-19 infection in healthy adults.
