Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SSS07 is a humanized rabbit-derived monoclonal antibody that targets and inhibits tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα). It is being developed by 3SBio, through its subsidiary Shenyang Sunshine, and Pyxis Oncology. The drug acts as a TNFα inhibitor, aiming to reduce inflammation associated with autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis. Clinical studies have shown that single subcutaneous doses of SSS07 are generally safe and well tolerated in healthy adults, though the drug exhibits high immunogenicity with all participants developing anti-drug antibodies. The most common adverse events were mild or moderate and similar to those seen with other drugs in this class. The pharmacokinetic profile shows slow absorption but relatively rapid elimination. As of the latest updates, SSS07 has reached Phase II clinical trials for rheumatoid arthritis in China[1][2][4].
