Overview

ST-00937 is a novel, orally bioavailable molecular glue degrader developed by Seed Therapeutics for the targeted degradation of RNA binding motif protein 39 (RBM39), an RNA splicing factor overexpressed in multiple cancers. As a new chemical entity (NCE), ST-00937 induces proteasomal degradation of RBM39, leading to impaired homologous recombination repair pathways and complete tumor regression in preclinical Ewing sarcoma models. The drug is being advanced as an investigational new drug (IND) candidate for the treatment of various cancers, with particular focus on Ewing sarcoma and other mechanism-driven indications such as liver cancer and KRAS-mutant cancers. Preclinical studies have shown that ST-00937 can eliminate established tumors without detectable toxicities. The program has received Rare Pediatric Disease and Orphan Drug designations from the FDA for Ewing sarcoma[1][3][4][5][6].
