Overview

ST-01156 is a novel small molecule molecular glue developed by SEED Therapeutics that induces targeted degradation of the RNA binding motif protein 39 (RBM39), an RNA splicing factor implicated in multiple solid tumor types. By promoting the proteasomal degradation of RBM39, ST-01156 disrupts aberrant RNA splicing processes essential for cancer cell survival and proliferation. The drug has received both Rare Pediatric Disease and Orphan Drug designations from the US FDA for its potential to address significant unmet needs in rare oncology indications, including Ewing sarcoma and other solid tumors. As of early 2025, it is advancing toward an IND filing with preclinical development status[1][3][4][5][7].
