Overview

ST-HT is a multi-ingredient oral combination medication developed by SSP Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of Sanofi) for the symptomatic relief of the common cold. It is a fixed-dose combination containing ibuprofen (an analgesic and antipyretic), ambroxol hydrochloride and L-carbocisteine (mucolytics), isopropamide iodide (an anticholinergic to reduce nasal secretions), chlorpheniramine maleate (an antihistamine), dihydrocodeine phosphate (a cough suppressant), and dl-methylephedrine hydrochloride (a bronchodilator and decongestant). This comprehensive formulation is designed to target multiple cold symptoms simultaneously, including fever, sore throat, cough, phlegm, and runny nose. It was evaluated in Phase III clinical trials in Japan and is marketed as an over-the-counter (OTC) product under the brand name Estac EX Neo.
