Overview

STA-1 is a drug initially developed by Sinphar Pharmaceutical. It has demonstrated efficacy in preclinical studies for suppressing allergen-induced immunoglobulin E (IgE) synthesis, airway inflammation, and hyperreactivity in murine models of allergic asthma. In these studies, oral administration of STA-1 reduced Der p 5-specific IgE levels, decreased eosinophil and neutrophil influx into the airways, and significantly eliminated allergen-induced airway hyperreactivity. These findings suggest that STA-1 may be a potential therapeutic agent for the treatment of allergic asthma.
