Overview

STAb-TB1 is a preclinical dual-targeting T-cell redirecting cellular immunotherapy developed by STAB Therapeutics for the treatment of B-cell hematological malignancies, including B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) and B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (B-NHL). The therapy is based on the proprietary STAb (in situ secretion of T cell-redirecting bispecific antibodies) platform, which involves genetically engineering patient T cells to continuously secrete bispecific T-cell engagers (TCEs) that target two undisclosed B-cell antigens. This dual-targeting approach is designed to redirect both the modified STAb-T cells and unmodified bystander T cells in the patient's body to attack malignant B cells, potentially overcoming antigen escape mechanisms that can lead to treatment resistance. By combining aspects of cell therapy and bispecific antibody modalities, STAb-TB1 represents a next-generation approach to cellular immunotherapy.
