Overview

STAb-TST1 is an experimental T-cell redirecting cellular immunotherapy developed by STAB Therapeutics for the treatment of epithelial solid tumors. Utilizing the company's proprietary STAb (Specific T cell redirecting Antibody) platform, the therapy involves engineering T cells to produce and secrete bispecific antibodies. These antibodies are designed to bind simultaneously to a specific, undisclosed antigen on the surface of epithelial tumor cells and to the CD3 complex on T cells, thereby facilitating the formation of an immunological synapse and subsequent tumor cell lysis. This modality aims to combine the persistence and trafficking capabilities of cellular therapy with the potent redirecting effects of bispecific antibodies, potentially improving efficacy in the immunosuppressive microenvironment of solid tumors. STAb-TST1 is currently in the preclinical (R&D) stage of development.
