Drug intelligence / Profile preview
StAb19 is a preclinical-stage therapeutic candidate being developed by Strike Pharma in collaboration with AbClon Inc. It utilizes a lipid nanoparticle (LNP) delivery system to transport mRNA encoding a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting CD19. Unlike traditional CAR-T therapies that require ex vivo cell engineering, StAb19 is designed to generate CD19-targeted CAR-T cells in vivo following administration. This approach aims to deplete CD19-positive B cells for the treatment of B-cell-dependent autoimmune diseases, such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), as well as B-cell malignancies. The program is supported by a Eurostars grant and leverages Strike Pharma's expertise in LNP-based mRNA delivery alongside AbClon's antibody technology.
