Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Standard vaccination schedule-Universidade Federal de Goias-hepatitis B refers to the control arm of a Phase IV randomized clinical trial (NCT03624231) conducted by the Universidade Federal de Goiás in Brazil. This regimen involves the administration of a standard 20 μg (1 mL) dose of a recombinant hepatitis B vaccine at 0, 1, and 6 months. The trial was designed to evaluate and compare the immunogenicity of this standard schedule against a reinforced 40 μg schedule in adults aged 50 years and older, a population known to have a diminished immune response to standard hepatitis B vaccination. The vaccine utilizes recombinant hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) to stimulate the production of protective antibodies against the hepatitis B virus.
